Rules & Classes
Burnt Timber XC is one stop of the 406XC series. Our race runs in accordance with the current 406XC rules and we offer all 406XC race categories.
If you would like to collect points for the 406XC series, you will need to register for the Burnt Timber XC event on the 406XC website. Burnt Timber will also offer walk-on registrations, though walk-ons won’t qualify for series points.
2025 Race Schedule
Friday, June 6th
- Gates open at 3pm.
- Pre-ride for Saturday course begins at 5pm, cut off is 7pm.
- Gates close at 10pm.
Saturday, June 7th
Saturday will feature our junior races, Women’s Class C, Vintage Class, a fun afternoon relay race, and a pre-ride opportunity for our Sunday riders.
- Gates open at 6am
- Saturday racers can register at the registration trailer from 8-9am.
- Racers meeting will be at the registration trailer at 9:30am. Come ride-ready!
- Racing will begin at 10am. Races will run in the class order listed here. Please note the order is subject to change and some classes may run together depending on number of riders in each class.
- Race length for Saturday classes is 3 laps (excluding 50cc classes which race for 30 minutes).
- Relay race registration will open at 2pm at the registration trailer at $20/team.
- Pre-ride begins at 5:30, cut off is 7pm. Cost is $15 for preregistered riders, $25 for all other riders.
- Gates close at 10pm.

Sunday, June 8th
All remaining races, including most adult and open races, will run on Sunday.
- Gates open at 6am.
- Registration for all classes running on Sunday will start at 7am at the registration trailer. Racers must be registered by 9am.
- Racers meeting will be at 9:30am at the registration trailer. Come ride-ready!
- Racing will begin at 10am. Class order will be announced at the racers meeting.
- Race length ranges from 1-5 laps. To see the laps per class, refer to our paper registration form.
- There will be a 30 minute dispute period from your finish time to challenge any placings.
- Gates close at 1pm.
- Race will be called at 2:45pm.
